Do you teach adult beginners?

Yes, I really enjoy teaching guitar to adults.  You're never to old to start learning the guitar.

Where do you teach?

I have a studio in Leichhardt/Rozelle in Sydney within easy reach of public transport.  I also teach guitar in Linden, mid-Blue Mountains.

Do I need to read music?

I'll show you how to read music if you can't already.  It's not difficult once you know the basics and it will open a whole new world of music to you.

Will I need to practise?

You will enjoy playing the guitar much more if you practise.  I'll show you how to get into a good practise routine.  I'll set you weekly goals to keep you motivated and having fun.

I don't have a guitar - can you help me choose one?

I'd be very happy to help you choose a guitar that is within your budget and learning stage.

Do I have to do music exams?

That is completely up to you. If you wish, I can help you to prepare for AMEB (Australian Music Education Board) exams.

What style do you teach?

I teach you good guitar technique right from the beginning, so that you can play the music you love.

what they're saying

Extensive knowledge & experience in classical guitar performance. Able to identify & correct technical issues in a supportive manner.
